Once again the site backend has changed. In doing a recent project (that I will go into with more detail in the very near future), I've started really getting into using Joomla!, so I've decided to put it on inexact so I can do more experimenting and playing with it. But that's not even really the point of what I was going to say....It's really more about the process of doing the conversion that I find interesting right now.
Human Vegetation has existed since 2000 - over nine years at this point. It started out on Blogger, changed to Wordpress, then my own handmade CMS system. Between then and now I have gone from having no job, to having a temp job to having a great job to having an OK job, and now back to having no job. I've moved from Chicago to New York, and within New York I've lived in Astoria, Sunnyside, Forest Hills, and now Fresh Meadows. My son has aged from six years old to almost sixteen and gone from learning to read to learning how to drive a car. My ex-husband married and divorced his second wife, and is now on his third. I've lost my father, my dog, and a dear friend.
It's not all bad news though, I've had some great experiences. I've met a lot of great people and have developed some of those "got your back no matter what" relationships. I've spent the majority of the last nine years with Tommy, who has been patient with me and treated me so well and supported me through all the not so good times.
One thing I am certainly not proud of, however, is that in nine years, I'm at less than 200 posts. Let's make an effort to improve on that shall we? |
